Through live, face-to-face online classes and dynamic multimedia coursework, MHA@GW students gain the skills and knowledge to help facilitate the optimal delivery of healthcare. MHA@GW features the same rigorous content and renowned faculty as GW’s on-campus programs.

The curriculum is divided into eight 10-week learning modules that focus on different core skill sets. In addition, students complete four real-world immersion experiences and an applied research project. Students must complete a total of 50 credits.

University of Cincinnati Masters in Healthcare Administration Online Degree

The University of Cincinnati MHA program allows working professionals to complete the degree 100 percent online. The program uses Blackboard, an asynchronous online environment that allows students to complete assigned lessons and coursework at any time. The program’s complete flexibility means that students are not required to be online at any specific time, allowing them to interact with faculty, staff and other students using online chat and messaging. Coursework is presented via videos and PowerPoint presentations.

The UC online MHA program, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), requires a minimum of 42 credit hours, with a typical course consisting of three credit hours. A Capstone Cornerstone course that requires students to demonstrate their competencies by completing a project in a professional setting is part of the curriculum.

Penn State Masters in Healthcare Administration Online Degree

The online MHA from Penn State is a collaboration between the Penn State World Campus, the School of Public Affairs and the Department of Health Policy and Administration. The program uses a centralized online platform that allows students to log into a virtual classroom, get assignments and complete examinations. Although classes are offered fully online, they are academically equal to campus courses. Interaction with faculty and peers takes place via Skype, Blackboard Collaborate, interactive forums and email.

The online MHA from Penn State is a collaboration between the Penn State World Campus, the School of Public Affairs and the Department of Health Policy and Administration. The Penn State MHA program requires 49 credit hours and most courses are three credits. Depending on the student, between 12 and 20 credits are typically completed per year. Two face-to-face management intensives take place on the Penn State campus and allow students to develop leadership competencies that are required for completion of the degree.

LSU Shreveport Masters in Healthcare Administration Online Degree

The Louisiana State University online MHA is delivered completely online via the school’s Moodle course delivery system. The LSU MHA program consists of 10 graduate courses covering a broad range of administration topics. Students can complete their coursework at their own pace, with some students completing the degree in one calendar year.

The LSU MHA program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a leading accreditation body for business schools. Two on-campus events give MHA students the opportunity to interact with faculty and other students enrolled in the program; attendance at these events is optional.
